KOE exists to make power secure, controllable and investable.
Practical Perspective
Originating and advancing sites, structuring partnerships, trading and managing delivery risk.
Sizing resilience solutions and translating technical reality into commercial outcomes.
Practical navigation of applications, offers, constraints, modifications and disputes.
Our approach

Our approach is practical and delivery-led. Most clients experience KOE through our Power Resilience Assessments — because it’s the common foundation for decision-making, delivery strategy, and investment confidence. KOE relies on these for all of its own projects. KOE completes PRAs as the foundation to decision making on all of its own projects as they convert complexity and risk, into control and value.
We help clients future-proof power through local energy systems — typically combining generation, storage and intelligent optimisation then implemented through the most valuable delivery route.
Measurable Outcomes

Power security and continuity
Reduced exposure to constraints and volatility
Lower operating costs where achievable
Value creation through deliverable solutions
Engineering Reality

Projects often progress on the assumption that capacity, timelines and reliability will hold. When they don’t, programme risk becomes value risk.
Grid capacity is constrained and connection timelines can move. Delays quickly become delivery and funding risk
Cost of upgrade can grow significantly and change through requirements for reinforcement, redesign and temporary supply. It becomes capex and opex volatility.
A connection doesn’t guarantee reliable power. Outages and constraints can become revenue, inventory, safety and reputational risk.
Power demand is rising fast and will continue to accelerate. Network upgrades aren’t keeping pace, widening the gap between demand and capacity.
Connection outcomes sit outside your direct control—third parties, approvals and network constraints can change. Reduced certainty increases risk across programme, cost and delivery.
Our Team

Director
Nerissa previously practiced as a commercial lawyer in energy and resources in Australia, then moved into corporate finance and M&A, with experience at EY and Haines Watts, in addition transaction advisory work independently and with Voltaire Financial.
She was a founder of Stratford Retail Group, a JV partner with Revcap, which acquired and operates a portfolio of petrol stations. Alongside this, she assessed EV charging and EV-operator investment opportunities, which built the practical understanding of power, grid deliverability and infrastructure risk at all asset levels.
This led to establishing KOE Group with Gareth Dauley. At KOE, Nerissa leads origination, structuring, investment strategy and acquisitions

Director
Gareth brings a rare blend of experience as a smart-grid engineer and flexibility-market trader turned utility-scale developer and asset manager. He began at Honeywell, developing smart-grid systems, before joining the founding team at Limejump as a Director—one of the first aggregated energy traders and a pioneer of the UK flexibility markets—later acquired by Shell. Building on this, he established EDF’s flexibility-markets trading capability.
He then originated and developed a portfolio of large-scale Battery Storage grid connections, which were acquired by Pacific Green Technologies. He became Executive Vice President and helped build a storage portfolio of over 1.5GW.
At KOE, Gareth leads technical diligence and Power Resilience Assessments (PRAs), grid strategy, route-to-market, and ongoing optimisation and asset management.
